We are seeking a full-time cook with nutritionist/dietician background to cook and provide healthy & nutritious meals for the residents in our temporary housing facilities. A qualified candidate will possess a high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals with varying health, cultural, and nutritional needs. You will create a healthy meal plan, order all necessary products/ingredients, prepare 3 meals per day, 5 days a week, and maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of the kitchen facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all meal planning, ordering, and preparation for approximately 10-20 residents, with a health conscious & budget friendly plan in mind.
- Create weekly meals plans for approval by manager on duty, adhering to any strict dietary restrictions & needs, including- vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, low-sodium, etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen area throughout the day, adhering to food quality and sanitation standards.
- Work directly with clients to assist in reaching their nutrition goals, progression, and make revisions as needed.
- Foster a professional and welcoming environment in all interactions with clients, guest, vendors and colleagues, regardless of differing identities, backgrounds, beliefs and choices.
- Develop and maintain a professional and supportive relationships with staff.
- Adhere to strict boundaries and professional ethics in the care of others.
- Ensure that the facility is clean, free of potential hazards and safe at all times.
- Enforce house rules and policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have at least 2-4 years Culinary Experience.
- Must have a California Food Handler's License.
- Detailed oriented and highly organized.
- Provide own transportation for work related travel as necessary.
- Maintain a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

- Must have great interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time,
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour,
